Network Audit Report

When creating a report for network audit, it is very important for the network administrator to not to forget to include the network inventory data in that report. This is obvious: the network consists of workstations, servers and networked equipment and the information won't be full enough without knowing the nature of these items: their hardware settings, properties and list of applications installed on them. These listed details have a great influence of the network performance. For example, a single workstation infected with a virus can stop the operations in a whole network by sending a lot of malicious packets to all other computers and loading the network bandwidth.
