Asset Tracker for Networks is a computer audit software designed to detect configuration information from the company computers connected to the LAN, and other computers belomging to your organization. For the networked computers the network administrator may use the Inventory Network menu item in the Asset Tracker's main window and it will look for the network computers, detect inventory information from each and store it in a single place. For not networked PC's, e.g. computers of the company representatives work out of office and, having their laptops, travel to potential and current customers every day, the software can be installed on each laptop individually and set up to send inventory information to the central office by email or FTP.

While performing computer audit, Asset Tracker for Networks detects all possible information about the PC's being processed. Asset Tracker checks CPU speed and model, size of the memory installed, hard disk drive(s) names, capacity and speed, and also how are they sliced into the logical drives and what capacity and file system does each logical drice have. Asset Tracker also retrieves motherboard model and serial number, computer serial number, graphical and network card settings and much, much more.

In regards to programs installed on each individual computer, Asset Tracker reveals the operating system name and version, service pack and list of hotfixes applied and the name of the antivirus software installed, it's version and the date of the last antivirus database update. While auditing the network, Asset Tracker also detects the list of the installed software, each program equipped with title, version number and, in some cases, the manufacturer name, installation folder and even the program license number (for certain popular softwares only). This information is also written in the central place and, so, can be read by the IT team member at any time later.
