If we consider computer network design as the container of the third party component -
the one responsible for encrypting and decrypting data - we must consider several
key aspects, namely: how does the virtual directory obtain key information from
the client, how does the virtual directory perform pass-through authentication
to destination directories, and how does the virtual directory manipulate the
data in the destination directory? The system architecture, shown in Figure 1,
is proposed to address those questions.
